Tax-Sheltered Retirement Savings and Matching Plan

CHKD Health System employees are offered the opportunity to participate in pre-tax 401k or after-tax Roth 401k plans. CHKD begins matching contributions after one year of employment. Individualized retirement planning advice is also available.

CHKD observes six holidays during the year:

Paid Time Off (PTO)

All full time and part time benefit-eligible employees earn paid time off (PTO) from the day their employment begins. Accrual of PTO is based on hours paid (maximum of 80 hours per pay period), years of service, and job classification. Paid time off can be used for personal time, sickness, and vacation.


Tuition Reimbursement

CHKD encourages employees to complete or continue education that relates to their job and offers tuition reimbursement for qualified courses. Full time or part time employees become eligible for the tuition reimbursement benefit after six months of active employment. Full time benefit-eligible employees may receive up to $5,250 in tuition reimbursement each calendar year, and part time benefit-eligible employees may receive up to $2,625 each calendar year.
