Bio
Born and raised in California, Barboza relocated with her family in 2003 to Virginia Beach due to military. She began
her nursing career in pediatrics in 2004 within the community focusing on
routine visits, triage, immunizations, and family education.
She also has
experience working in child and adolescent behavioral health since 2005.
In
2011, she began working as a bedside nurse on the inpatient rehabilitation unit
at CHKD and later transitioned to education coordinator. Upon completing her
graduate degree, Jennifer began working as a pediatric nurse practitioner with
a focus on inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services.
She loves the beach, camping, and traveling with her husband and children.
