"Working with children with chronic conditions is one of the hardest, but most rewarding, jobs there is. There's nothing like seeing a child smile when they are going through so much, even if it's just for the smallest victories."

Bio
Carter started
her nursing career working with adults, but quickly moved to pediatrics, her true
passion.
She worked in the Duke PICU and the Children's of Alabama CVICU,
before finding a home in dialysis at CHKD. She specializes in hemodialysis
and acute renal therapies, which is part of the reason she opted to become
dual-certified in both acute and primary care pediatrics.
Outside of the
hospital, she loves to read and travel, and spend time with her husband and two
fur babies.
