Bio
Dutton has over 15 years of pediatric nursing experience, including inpatient medical acute care, nursing education, and outpatient psychiatric care. She has dual certifications in primary pediatrics and pediatric mental health specialty. She also has clinical expertise in pediatric chronic illnesses, pain management, palliative care and primary pediatric mental health care.
Dutton is trained in child development, health assessment, diagnosis of common childhood mental health conditions, integration and implementation of care, psychopharmacology and psychotherapy.
She works collaboratively with Dr. Peter Dozier as they offer psychiatric evaluations, consultation and liaison services for children and adolescents. She is also a member of the Eastern Virginia Medical School faculty.
