Bio
Krom has been with
CHKD since beginning her career in nursing. After graduating from UNC,
she became a staff nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and then transitioned to the
Neonatal/Pediatric Transport Team.
After returning to school for her
Master's degree, she became a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in 1998 and
has been with Chesapeake Pediatrics since June 2003.
She loves
interacting with children of all ages, following them not only through their
illnesses but also through all of the developmental stages and various
challenges parents encounter. She considers it rewarding to be able to
reassure families and help guide them through any difficult times, while
sharing in all the fun as well.
Outside of work, she enjoys time with
family which includes her husband and two golden retrievers. They enjoy
outdoor activities like gardening, fishing and boating at Lake Gaston, and
playing golf.
