"I continually strive to provide outstanding healthcare for children of all ages and to give parents the information and tools they need to help them grow up with the best health possible. It is a thrill to be part of the CHKD General Booth Pediatrics team."

Bio
As an Army dependent,
McGloon grew up all over the world. She was fortunate
to receive an Army scholarship for nursing school.
At her first duty station,
she was given an unexpected assignment to be the charge nurse of a pediatric
clinic. This experience made her realize how much she really enjoyed being
involved in the healthcare of children and how much she wanted to further her
pediatric training.
After completing the Army pediatric nurse practitioner course, she was assigned to Monterey, Calif., where she met her husband,
who served in the Navy.
After 10 years in the Army, she transferred to the Navy
and was able to continue her military career as a PNP for 14 more years,
including several deployments, a humanitarian mission to the Philippines and
South Pacific, Desert Shield and Desert Storm. She also provided healthcare for
children and adults with cancer.
In the Navy, McGloon was
fortunate to work with Dr. David Norris, the founding medical director of
General Booth Pediatrics. She has been working with the General Booth
Pediatrics team for over 10 years. During that time, her two incredible
children (now young adults) received fabulous care at the practice.
McGloon feels it is an
amazing honor and a privilege to work with such phenomenal CHKD pediatricians.
She enjoys spending time with
family and friends, sports, sketching and painting
portraits, music, and all that
Virginia Beach and the surrounding areas have to offer.
