Bio
Spanik uses a client-centered
approach to create a safe and supportive environment for children, adolescents
and their caregivers. She has experience in outpatient therapy, residential
treatment, and therapeutic day treatment and has utilized modalities to include
individual, family and group therapy.
She has experience working with
clients with a variety of emotional and behavioral challenges to include mood
lability (depression, mania), anxiety, trauma, substance abuse, oppositional
and defiant behaviors and personality disorders.
Spanik primarily utilizes
cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, reality therapy and
structural family therapy to assist clients in their journey of personal
growth.
