Bio
Bennett has been providing
clinical services at CHKD since 2013. As part of the mental health team, she
provides outpatient therapy, and inpatient support as part of the consult and liaison team.
Working primarily with the neurology patients and families, she
utilizes various treatment modalities catered uniquely to each patient’s needs, including cognitive behavioral therapy, CBIT therapy and solution-focused
modalities.
Bennett is certified in providing
treatment to children and adolescents with tic disorders, utilizing CBIT (comprehensive behavioral intervention for tics). She is also certified in providing biofeedback therapy.
Bennett strives to provide
a nurturing environment in which children, adolescents and families can grow, change
and become reconnected to their dreams and strengths. Outside of work, her
interests include yoga, gardening, and time with her family.
