This class is held on the second Tuesday of the month, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., and is located at CHKD's Main Hospital at 601 Children’s Lane, Norfolk, VA 23507.

The class is held on the third floor in the operating room classroom. It provides information on the surgery, meeting the Scoliosis and Spine Program team which includes operating room and recovery room staff, child life staff, and physical therapists. The class will conclude with a tour of an operating room, if available.

The class is designed to provide you with all of the necessary information to prepare you and your child for their procedure. We also have a former patient and their family in attendance to offer advice and answer any questions.
