Bio

Martin grew up in Williamsburg and graduated of Bruton High School. In addition to health care, she is passionate about education, environmental conservation, and the importance of children connecting with the outdoors.

Before becoming a physician assistant, Martin was an elementary school teacher in the Williamsburg James City County school system. She also taught science at an outdoor education center for the Houston (Texas) School District. In the summers, she worked at summer camps, was part of conservation projects in national parks, and facilitated wilderness leadership experiences for teenagers.

Since graduating from physician assistant school, she has worked in urgent care and enjoys being part of the CHKD Urgent Care team. She continues to work with young people in the outdoors each summer by volunteering as medical staff at summer camps for children with medical needs.
