Fatherhood 101 is a program for new or expectant dads. This class, taught by our fatherhood consultant and a CHKD pediatrician, will prepare you for the arrival and care of your baby. Learn the skills necessary to bring baby home, how to navigate changing family and social relationships, and leave with a diaper bag packed with items you’ll need to begin the parenting journey. Offered three times per year.
Dad Talks provides a place for dads of any age and in every stage of parenting to come together to discuss the challenges and successes they’ve encountered on their unique fatherhood journeys. Share experiences, gain feedback and support, and connect with other fathers in the community. Meets on the second Thursday of every month.
Dad’s Day Out is a social activity held in the community where fathers and their kids get together for fun outings like going to the movies, hiking, bowling, or playing at the park. These events are held four times a year.
DIY with Dad events are held once a month on a Saturday morning. Dads and kids get together to enjoy refreshments, conversation and play time. You can choose a DIY craft, play a game or move to the music. Having fun together builds relationships and your child's brain. Spend time enjoying your children and meet other dads.
