Rite Aid Fundraising Campaign

Customers can buy a Miracle Balloon icon for $1 when checking out at local Rite Aid stores from March 24 to May 11 and support the kids at CHKD.  This year is Rite Aid’s 25th anniversary of fundraising for CMN Hospitals like CHKD.  Click here to find a store near you.

Costco Wholesale Fundraising Campaign

Our area Costco locations will be holding their annual fundraising campaign throughout the month of May to benefit CHKD. Make sure to donate a dollar when checking out at Costco and support the kids at CHKD. Costco is located at 850 Glenrock Road in Norfolk and at 12121 Jefferson Avenue in Newport News.

A. Dodson’s Round Up Campaign
Wednesday, May 1- Friday, May 31
In honor of pediatric mental health awareness month, A. Dodson’s will host a Round Up campaign to benefit CHKD’s mental health program.  Be sure to stop by their three Hampton Roads locations – Norfolk, Virginia Beach, and Suffolk during the month of May.

Twisted Sisters Cupcakes
Thursdays, May 2, 16, 23, and 30
Craving something sweet?  Drop by the main entrance of CHKD on Thursdays (5/2 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., 5/16 and 5/30 from 3 to 5 p.m., 5/23 from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.).   Twisted Sisters Cupcakes is giving 15 percent of all sales to CHKD. Arrive early to try the CHKD Mermaid Cupcake before it’s sold out. To reserve a CHKD cupcake, call Twisted Sisters Cupcakes 48 hours in advance to place an order. CHKD receives $1 for every special CHKD cupcake sold.

Newport News Shipbuilding FWS Golf Tournament

This annual golf tournament will be held at Cypress Creek Country Club.  Tournament begins with a 12:45 p.m. shotgun start.  A portion of each entry fee will benefit CHKD.  Registration opens to the public April 5.  Email Ryan.Woolridge@hii-nns.com for information.

Anthem LemonAid Weekend
Friday, July 19 - Sunday, July 21
Put the squeeze on childhood cancer during the annual weekend-long Anthem LemonAid fundraiser.  Sign up to host your own stand and receive a kit with lemonade mix, cups, pitcher, stickers, and a banner.  All you need is a location, water and ice.   All donations support CHKD’s childhood cancer program.  Click here to register.

Dairy Queen Miracle Treat Day
Thursday, July 25

Party in the Park
Saturday, October 5
Join Howard Hanna for a fun-filled, family day at the Chesapeake City Park from 12 to 4 p.m.  This event includes food by Pollard's Chicken and BBQ, music by Buckshot, kids' activities galore, silent auction, 50/50 raffle, and corn hole tournament.  Tickets are $25 per adult and $10 per child.  All proceeds from this event will benefit CHKD.  For more information and to purchase tickets click here.

Virginia Beach Cupcake Festival
Sunday, October 6
Unique Events of Hampton Roads is hosting inaugural event at Mount Trashmore beginning at 11 a.m.  Event will feature a 5K followed by food, music, entertainment, children's activities, and hundreds of cupcakes to choose from.  Click here to visit the event's Facebook page to learn more.

Virginia Fall Classic

The Virginia Peninsula Car Club Council, in association with the City of Newport News, invites you to attend the 17th Annual Virginia Fall Classic held at the Newport News City Park and Ferguson Enterprises, Inc.  All proceeds from the 3-day event benefit Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters.  Events include cruise-ins, dinner, music, car/truck/bike shows and much more!  Over the past 15 years, the Virginia Fall Classic has raised over $489,000 for CHKD.  There is truly something for everyone at the Virginia Fall Classic!  Click here for more information.
