Children's Miracle Network Hospitals
As part of the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH), CHKD partners with businesses and organizations to support local fundraising campaigns that raise money for medical care, equipment and therapy programs that save and improve the lives of children in Hampton Roads and northeastern North Carolina.
We are fortunate to work with a number of CMN
hospital partners locally, including Rite Aid, Costco, Wawa, RE/MAX,
Chico’s, Ace Hardware, Ollie’s and Dairy Queen. Walmart and Sam’s Club
have raised millions of dollars for CHKD over the last 21 years. CHKD also
participates in and benefits from a number of CMN sponsored campaigns including
Miracle Jeans Day and Extra Life, a gaming fundraiser.
Children's Miracle Network --
the alliance of premier hospitals for children -- is a non-profit organization
dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds for
children's hospitals across North America. Each year, the 170 CMN hospitals
provide the finest medical care, life-saving research and preventative
education to help millions of kids overcome diseases and injuries of every
kind.
When a donation is given
through a CMNH sponsored activity, it stays in the community, helping local
kids. Since 1983, Children's Miracle Network Hospitals has raised more than
$4.7 billion, most of it $1 at a time. These donations have gone to support research
and training, purchase equipment, and pay for uncompensated care, all in
support of our mission to save and improve the lives of as many children as
possible.
