HAMPTON ROADS, Va.— Dr. Mariel Focseneanu is now offering pediatric and adolescent gynecology services through the adolescent medicine program at Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters. Dr. Focseneanu is a fellowship-trained specialist in pediatric and adolescent gynecology with Children's Specialty Group.

Dr. Focseneanu's practice will focus on evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of reproductive health issues of girls from birth through age 23. Her areas of particular interest include management of congenital abnormalities of the reproductive tract, menstrual problems, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery and hormonal disorders. She also offers first time and general gynecologic visits for healthy teens.

Dr. Focseneanu did her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical Center and completed a two-year fellowship in pediatric and adolescent gynecology at Washington University in St. Louis. She recently moved to Virginia after three years in academic practice in New York and Connecticut.
