HAMPTON ROADS, Va.—Children’s Hospital of The Kings Daughters is pleased to welcome Margaret McGuire, MD, to the pediatric surgery team.

A board-certified general surgeon and board-eligible pediatric surgeon, Dr. McGuire comes to CHKD after completing fellowships in pediatric surgery at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital and surgical critical care at Children’s National Medical Center.

Dr. McGuire earned her medical degree at Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, completed her surgical residency at the University of Massachusetts, and was a surgical research fellow at Boston Children’s Hospital. In addition to general surgery certification, she is certified by the American Board of Surgery in critical care.

Dr. McGuire will see patients at CHKD’s main hospital. 

CHKD is the only freestanding children’s hospital in Virginia and serves the medical and surgical needs of children throughout greater Hampton Roads, the Eastern Shore of Virginia and northeastern North Carolina.
