Clinical trials help us learn more about new medications before they are available to the public and results of the studies provide information about the safety and effectiveness of the medications being tested.

Could a Clinical Trial Help Your Child?

Patients who participate in clinical trials help make new drugs possible. There is no guarantee that the study drug will benefit patients, but information learned may benefit children in the future. CHKD helps bring new medications to market through clinical trials. Our specialists and physicians are currently conducting research studies in the following areas:

• Cystic Fibrosis (providers from both  Infectious Diseases and Pulmonology are participating)
• Endocrinology
• Gastroenterology
• Medical Genetics
• Neurology
